We present the new edition of the Law and Praxis Journal (07)14, 2016, Apr-Jun, second edition of 2016. The next issues are expected to September and December, with original articles and thematic dossiers. We present our four sections: articles, translations, reviews and the dossier.
In the articles section, we point out twelve unpublished works centered in the fields of theory, philosophy and sociology of law, with central themes that are on the order of the day of the critical debate: civil disobedience, constitutionalism in Latin America, gender, neoliberalism, legal epistemology, among others.
In the translation section, we bring two articles that give sequence to the debate proposed in March-2015 dossier about experiences of social movements and the right to strike. The first, by Professor Ezequiel Abasolo, from the University of La Matanza, Argentina, deals with the incorporation of the right to strike in Mexican Constitution of 1917. The second, by the Professor from the University of Turin, Italy, Mario Losano, brings the legal report of Hans Kelsen, 1933, on the Brazilian National Constituent Assembly, originally published and commented by Professor Gustavo Siqueira, UERJ, in that edition.
The following section, dedicated to the dossier, carries the theme "The judicialization of urban environmental conflicts in Latin America" that, accordingly to the editors-guests, Professors Dr. Lucas Konzen (UFRGS) and Dr. Marcelo Cafrune (UNB), "aims to discuss, from a social-legal perspective, the role of the Judiciary in relation to the growing urban-environmental conflicts in Latin American cities." The introduction of the dossier, written by editors, is presented in the first article of the dossier. Our editorial team rejoices with the opportunity to promote such a central debate, as we get closer to another mega event in Brazil: the 2016 Olympics in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
We remind readers and authors that the editorial policies for each of the sections in the Journal can be accessed in our webpage and that submissions are permanent and always welcome ! We thank, as always, the authors, reviewers and collaborators for the trust placed in our publication.
