2017 begins in the Law & Praxis Journal with four editions and fundamental debates in the field of critical legal thinking. We introduce the new issue: vol. 08, n. 1 of 2017, jan-mar--edition 17. The articles section contains twelve unpublished works with themes such as judicialization of health, public safety, social movements, theory of law, among others.
The dossier, organized by Professor Dr. Luiz Otavio Ribas and the editor of D & P, Dr. Carolina A. Vestena, in partnership with the Research Institute for Rights and Social Movements (IPDMS), brings a set of articles by national and international researchers on "Mobilization of rights: uses and legal strategies of collective actors and social movements". The presentation of the dossier follows below.
The section of translations brings two unpublished articles in Portuguese language. The first one also composes the dossier and it is the work of professor Fernando Rojas Hurtado, "Comparacion entre las tendencias de los servicios legales en Norteamerica, Europa y America Latina". The second translation brings a contribution from the German teachers Joachim Hirsch, John Kannankulam, Jens Wissel on the debate of the state's materialist theory about the so-called "derivation of the state". We thank the translators for the very high quality work done.
Finally, we present two reviews of recent works, among them, one on the book of the researcher and French teacher Anne Clerval, which portrays the process of gentrification of the Parisian capital.

2017 comeca na Revista Direito e Praxis com quatro edicoes e debates fundamentais no campo do pensamento critico sobre o direito. Apresentamos o novo numero: vol. 08, n. 1 de 2017, jan-mar--edicao 17.
