Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é pensar sobre a importância do submundo
cultural andrógino no Brasil e as potencialidades críticas que certas atividades
artísticas ligadas a tal submundo fizeram florescer. Neste escrito buscamos
trabalhar com conceitos (como cultura, submundo e androginia) e com per-
sonalidades do mundo do entretenimento (como o grupo Dzi Croquettes, o
cantor Ney Matogrosso e a performista Laura de Vison) que marcaram uma
época - as três últimas décadas do século XX - de profícua produção artística.
Alguns destes artistas são desconhecidos do grande público, porém suas per-
formances mostravam grande valor crítico e desconstrutivo.

Abstract: The purpose of this writing is to reflect on the importance of cultu-
ral androgynous underworld in Brazil and on the critical potential that certain
artistic activities related to such underworld. In this paper I seek to work with
concepts (such as culture, underworld and androgyny) and the world of en-
tertainment personalities (such as group Dzi Croquettes, singuer Ney Mato-
grosso and performance artist Laura de Vison) that marked a time of fruitful
artistic production in the last three decades of the twentieth century in Brazil.
Some of these artists are unknown to the general public, but their performan-
ces portrayed a critical and deconstructive value.
