CONTEMPORÂNEOS DO FUTURO
RAÚL ANTELO E MARIA GABRIELA LLANSOL, GESTOS QUE DESTOTALIZAM

RESUMO: Este artigo propõe uma conversa entre as ideias heterogêneas desenvolvidas pelo crítico
cultural Raúl Antelo e o trabalho incomum da escritora Maria Gabriela Llansol, em suas respectivas
articulações com noções de “Tempo” e “História”, “Passado” e “Futuro”, mas, sobretudo, evidencia
a potência do contemporâneo que há em seus gestos, que apresentam a crítica e o texto como um
“lugar do político”. Tencionando-os em uma relação com o pensamento de figuras como Walter
Benjamin e Giorgio Agamben, especialmente no que se refere à ruptura com o mito do progresso
histórico e com a pontualidade que domina a concepção ocidental do tempo; ao procedimento de
montagem dos fragmentos do “mundo pós-desastre” no exercício crítico e criativo, e à ideia da
“infância como pátria transcendental da história”.

CONTEMPORARIES OF THE FUTURE
THE POLITICAL IN RAÚL ANTELO AND MARIA GABRIELA LLANSOL GESTURES
ABSTRACT: This paper proposes a dialogue between the heterogeneous ideas developed by the cul-
tural critic Raúl Antelo and the uncommon work of the writer Maria Gabriela Llansol, in their re-
spective articulations with notions of “Time” and “History”, “Past” and “Future” but, above all, it
emphasizes the power of the contemporary in their gestures, which present the criticism and the text
as a “political field”. It also intends to articulate some relations with the thoughts of figures such
as Walter Benjamin and Giorgio Agamben, especially in regarding to the rupture with the historical
progress myth and the punctuality that dominates the Western conception of time; to the procedure
of assembling the “post-disaster world” fragments in the critical and creative exercise; and to the
idea of “childhood as the transcendental homeland of history”.
