Resumo: Este artigo é parte das reflexões de minha pesquisa de doutorado
sobre a intersecção entre envelhecimento, memória e condutas homossexu-
ais, na região do Pantanal, com pessoas com condutas homossexuais maiores
de 50 anos. A partir da trajetória de uma interlocutora, analiso a experiência
de sujeitos em regiões que não são caracterizadas como grandes centros ur-
banos, atentando para os diferentes regimes de visibilidade a que estão sub-
metidos, bem como às mudanças que envolvem o lugar social da homossexu-
alidade. Estas análises destacarão as performances de gênero, bem como um
diálogo com a noção de transition e os conceitos de closet e wardrobe.

Abstract: The present paper is part of the reflections on my PhD research
about the intersection between aging, memory and homosexual behavior, in
Pantanal, on individuals over 50 years old presenting homosexual behavior,.
From the trajectory of an interlocutor, I analyze the experience of subjects
in regions that are not characterized as major urban centers, pointing to the
dierent visibility regimes to which they are subjected, as well as changes that
involve the social place of homosexuality. Such analysis will highlight not only
the gender performances, but also the dialogue with the notion of “transition”
and also the concepts of closet and wardrobe.
