RESUMEN
     
Francia, España y EE.UU. Por medio de la biografía de Ernesto Cerruti y de la relación “micro”/“macro”,
               
consolidación del Estado Nacional, del sistema internacional moderno, del comercio y del sistema
      
mostrar cómo a través de una biografía pueden examinarse amplias cuestiones históricas, cómo
lo “micro” se relaciona con lo “macro,” cómo opera la historia conectada, cómo la historiografía
contemporánea permite una lectura diferente del pasado y qué se entiende por un estudio multinivel.

ABSTRACT

Colombia, Italy, France, Spain and the United States. Based on the biography of Ernesto Cerruti and
analyzing its “micro”/“macro” dimension, this research will illustrate particular characteristics of the
late nineteenth century, such as the consolidation of the Nation State, of modern international system,
             
the potential of a biographical study to help examine broad historical issues, the relation between the
        
contemporary historiography and the meaning of a multilevel study.
