Abstract: The approach of this study is the idea of the necessity to think
about the present moment in civilization and its ethical foundations, consi-
dering the analysis of the right to the environment and life quality as human
rights of the third generation, and the relevance of an ecologically balanced
environment. We revise the main features of contemporary society and its
individuals by contextualizing the right to life quality and the importance of
the environment in this aspect. Thus, we intend to reach a philosophical and
questioning line by following a conciliatory proposal, which is based on an
ethical rationality as well as it searches for an ecologically ethical future
that does not violate human rights.
